2/26 through 3/17, I was back in Japan spending time with my family. It had been a year and half since I saw them last. My soul is refreshed and fully charged.
Sanpomichi is a story based on my family. This trip was necessary to remind myself the core concept, and the roots of this project.
Im back in the studio.
一年半ぶりに、お里へ旅をしてきました。とっても貴重なじかんをすごすことができました。ひさしぶりの日本、かぞく、ともだちに再会できて、わたしの心はほかほかです。さんぽみちは、わたしのかぞくの物語です。この旅で、どうして自分はサンポミチをつくりかったのかという原点をあらためておもいだすことができました。
シアトルのスタジオへ帰り、製作がはじまっています。
気負わずに、でもはしります。時間がない。

A million things to do for Sanpomichi. endlessly. but Im fine with it. I want to make it. to get there, I will keep on working. I don't wanna do anything else than Sanpomichi.
